C Concept Design is focused to provide an urban and architectural vision for acquisition
projects specifically in the concept, programming and design development phases. A
particular interest is towards retail, housing and commercial programs for both city center
regeneration and edge sites. Current and past project experience of the Director, Matthew
Vander Borgh, includes extensive international experience in North America, Asia and
Europe with multinational developers, municipalities and architectural organizations.
SELECTED PROJECTS/PROPOSALS OF C CONCEPT DESIGN:
Istanbul Cruise Harbor, Masterplan development on 1.4 million square meters of land
and sea area that will include a cruise port terminal, 300 berth marina and 400,000 m2 of
hotel, commercial and residential space for public and private use. Istanbul, Turkey.
St. Petersburg Onclave, Masterplan and architectural design for a new marina,
commercial program and 100 deluxe villa housing on the Baltic Sea St. Petersburg, Russia.
Les Terrasses du Port, Urban intervention to revitalize the Port of Marseille with
50,000 m2 of retail and leisure program connected to the Mediterranean ferry operation.

Docks du Paris, Proposal for renovation and extension of existing docks for reuse as

Balk Masterplan, Urban vision to introduce a municipal harbor, senior housing and

Charleroi Center, Urban revitalization project for the city center with 70,000 m2 of

Coimbra Shopping Center, 48,000 m2 multi-level retail center, cinema and hypermarket

Laakhaven Market, urban regeneration plan and introduction of open air market

City Center Housing, private commission to restore and add housing program above

Los Angeles Union Station Gateway Center, commissioned design for six
