Marian Simka, MD, PhD
Dr. Simka is the president-elect of the International Society for Neurovascular Disease.
Dr. Simka is specialist in general surgery and angiology. He graduated from the
Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. Until 2001 he worked in the University
Department of General & Vascular Surgery in Katowice. Since 2000 he is administering
a vascular clinic in Pszczyna, Poland and since 2009 is a consultant at EuroMedic
Specialist Clinics in Katowice. Dr. Simka is the author of over 80 scientific papers,
primarily on the treatment and diagnosis of venous diseases and chronic wounds.
From 2009 his scientific career focuses at chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency.
Dr. Simka is the founder member of the European Venous Forum, honorary member of
the Australasian College of Phlebology and member of scientific board of the Polish
Phlebological Society.
