(4) Important Points to Remember During Move-Out
Vehicles must have a Vehicle Permit to enter the exhibition area.
No entry for vehicles over 45 tons (vehicle + load weight).
Vehicle speed inside halls must not exceed 10km/hour.
When unloading vehicles, unload and drive away ASAP: do the time-consuming tasks of unpacking and sorting inside the
booth. If it’s necessary to park or idle in the halls, make sure to always leave a passage space (width of at least 3 meters) for
other vehicles to pass by.
Please avoid the use of cranes. If at all possible, use the Nippon Express forklifts provided by the Management.
Do not leave any materials in the aisles or the booths. Remove all materials when finished.
There are no areas set aside to drop off empty containers inside the halls. Please remove all containers brought inside from off
the premises.
You can arrange for Nippon Express to remove containers by calling 81-3-3778-8274 (ask for Mr. Ukon or Mr. Shioda).
There is no parking allowed during move-in and move-out at the waiting areas, truckyards, or in the exhibition halls.
As soon as unloading is finished, immediately remove the vehicle from the exhibition area.
No move-in or move-out activities are allowed during the exhibition itself. If equipments or products on display break down or
need replacement, or materials for demos, or catalogs and other printed materials need to be restocked, contact the Show
Management Office for advice.
While move-in or move-out activities the manager in charge of the exhibition should be at your booth.
During the exhibition period, December 3-5, vehicle permits are not used. If you need to bring a vehicle into the exhibition area,
go to one of the entry gates, explain the matter to the security personnel there, and follow their instructions.
Courier and package delivery firms do not require vehicle permits to enter the exhibition area.
The Organizer and Show Management will not be responsible for any accidents occurring on site. Please drive carefully.

11 Booth Regulations
MyPage “Booth Decoration”
Mandatory
Deadline: October 23 (Thu)
(1) Construction by the Organizer
The organizer will mark off booth spaces with tape on the floors of the exhibition halls to indicate booth placement. The
organizer only rents space to the exhibitor, and will not build basic partitions (back and side panels separating booth from
other exhibitors) between booths.

(2) Construction by the Exhibitor
The following 3 items of construction/decoration must be undertaken at the exhibitor’s expense.
Partitions between exhibitors
Always build a separating partition between your booth and neighbors. Use only fire-retardant materials, and the height must
be at least 2.7m and less than or equal the upper limit allowable.
Company Signs (see page 71 for a discussion of company signage).
Display the name of the exhibitor in an easily seen location.
Floor coverings (carpeting)
Carpet the floor of your booth to make it easily distinguishable from the aisles. Use only fire-retardant materials for carpeting.
(3) Specifications for 1 Booth Space
The size of 1 booth space unit is W 3m x D 3m. All display and decoration must be limited to the confines of the exhibitor’s
rented booth space only. (some booths may have slightly different dimensions but the exhibitor must still comply with the
relevant restrictions for that booth size.)
* These restrictions do not apply to the booth number signs put up by the Show Management Office (see (4) below) nor to the
integrated design of the pavilions designed by this Office.
(4) Booth Number Display
The Show Management will create and install booth number display panels that stick out above each booth. If a neighboring
booth abuts the exhibitor’s booth, the other side of the panel will display the other exhibitor’s booth number. We
will supply display panels for island booths, but in this case the exhibitor should install the panels in prominent, easily-seen
locations.

[例]
No need for opening in this area
※ This does also not apply to those areas of booths that face structural elements of the exhibition hall itself, such as the
outer walls, or to exhibitors whose booth size is 2m x 1m.
Emergency escape routes
Each booth must have at least 2 passages, on 2 different sides of the booths, of at least a width of 1.2m, to facilitate exit in
case of an emergency. (Exception: when in-line booths have one side open to the aisle, or corner booths of sizes 2m x 2m
or 2m x 1m.
Partitions between neighboring booths
Erect single one-sided panel partitions between your booth and your neighbors of at least 2.7m in height and within height
limits (without setback). The back side of partitions which exceed 2.7m in height and which will thus be exposed to the
neighbor booth should be white and without printed patterns on them. (When partitions are of different height than the
neighbor’s partitions, it is not permitted to feature graphics or text such as company names, when the partition is within 1
meter of the edge of a neighbor’s booth.)
No use of spaces outside the booth
All exhibitions and demonstrations must be confined to the booth interior. The rules below must be strictly followed.
※ Do not allow visitors to crowd the aisles in front of your booth. When using a stage or large projection equipment, design
the booth so all viewers can comfortably watch from inside the booth.
※ It is not permitted to stand in the aisles to invite visitors into the booth, conduct surveys, explain products, or similar
activities.
※ It is not permitted to project images from AV equipment on to surfaces outside the booth.
Use of the Aisles by In-Line Booth Exhibitors
When the booths of an exhibitor lie on either side of an aisle, and the exhibitor wishes to carpet the aisle area, contact the
Show Management. You will be charged for the expense of carpeting. Your designs require prior approval by Management,
so be sure to submit a layout plan before September 30 (Tue). No carpet can be laid in the aisles without prior approval of
the Show Management.
When laying carpet in the aisles, the following conditions apply.
• The aisle can be used when the exhibitor has at least 2 booth units on either side of the aisle (at least 4 booth units total).
• Carpeting in aisles between the booths, e.g. an in-line booth on both sides of an aisle, can display special designs
including company logo and name.
• Only punch carpeting can be used. Wood, rubber, tile and other materials cannot be used.
• The cost of permission to use the aisles is calculated as: 25% of the entire carpeted-aisle area is added to the total booth
area that the exhibitor has rented, and priced as such based on the booth unit price.
• No materials or booth decoration/construction are allowed in the aisle area.
• No exhibits, demos, or sales activities permitted in the aisle area.
• Aisle space is determined solely by the Show Management. Exhibitors are not allowed to alter the shape of the basic booth
unit (3m x 3m) or the shape of the aisles (bends, diagonals, etc.). There are exceptions when public safety is a concern.
• No signage or constructions such as arches, parapets, etc., which span above the aisle are permitted.
Carpeting can be laid down only after 15:00 on the last day of move-in, December 2 (Tue).
• Please remove carpeting immediately after the end of the exhibition (December 5, 17:00 and after).
※ No carpeting can be laid in the main aisles (width 5-6m), which are emergency escape routes.
68
Display of Company Name
Only the contracting exhibitor may display their company name within 1m of the border between the booth and the aisle.
There are no restrictions on the display of co-exhibitor names, products, etc. in any area farther than 1m away from this
border.
Plumbing
Occasionally water and compressed air hoses may unavoidably have to run behind or through certain booths. We appreciate
your understanding if that is the case.
Ceiling Construction
Ceiling construction is as a matter of policy forbidden. However, if a ceiling is absolutely necessary to the display or demo
of certain products, ceiling construction including a fire-retardant black-out curtain may be permitted. Prior application and
approval is necessary in this case. If prior approval is not obtained the Fukagawa fire authorities may order the exhibit to
be altered or even removed entirely from the site. You need to submit an application for ceiling construction which includes
plans (floor and elevation plans), the reason for ceiling construction, and the materials to be used. Submit these documents
to the Show Management by October 23 (Thu).
1) Constructions not considered to be part of a ceiling
a. Louvers or nets (when 70% or more of the net is open space)
2) Conditions and Rules on Ceiling Construction
a. Ceilings (excluding the exceptions in 1) directly above) can only be constructed if necessary to block light or dust from
exhibits.
b. After inspection of the plans, local fire authorities may require the exhibitor to install fire safety equipment inside the
exhibit when the conditions of the exhibit and display warrant it. Exhibitor will bear all costs for these installations.
c. Fire authorities will inspect the exhibition to see that it meets the instructions given as reflected in section b. above. If
the installation meets their requirements, they will give final approval. The authorities may have questions to ask during
the inspection, so personnel capable of properly explaining the design and installation should be present at this time.
Approval of the booth will not be given if no such persons are present.
d. If the exhibitor contemplates using any flooring of a height greater than 30 cm, this will require a separate discussion for
prior approval.
e. Double ceilings are not permitted.
f. If any constructions or designs which are not pre-approved are discovered, the Show Management may require
changes be made.
3) Submission and Consultation
a. All ceiling designs which do not fall under the definitions of section 1) above require the consultation and approval of
local fire authorities.
Please submit the following documentation to Sakura International.
• Booth construction plans (floor and elevation plans), and total floor plan (with black-out curtain areas and fire
extinguishers clearly marked)
• Detailed documentation of how the ceiling is constructed, and what materials are used (text descriptions as
well as fire-retardant labelling etc.)
b. Be aware that discussions with the fire authorities may take some time to complete.
Two-storied Booths
If the exhibitor wishes to construct a 2nd floor in the booth, only those exhibitors with an island booth of 30 booth units or
more may construct a second storey in their booths. Plans and diagrams for this construction must be submitted beforehand
for the approval of the local fire authorities. The exhibitor is also required to implement whatever safety measures the
authorities have ordered to ensure the safety of the exhibit.
69
Fire Prevention Rules
※ The local Fukagawa fire authorities will make a fire prevention inspection on both the day before the exhibition, and the
first day of the exhibition. If any exhibitor is found to be in violation of the rules below, they may be required to tear down
their exhibit.
※ Article 8 Section 3 of the Japanese Fire Service Act, concerning structures requiring fire and catastrophe prevention,
applies to the Tokyo Big Sight venue. Thus, exhibitors at the venue are required to follow fire prevention rules in their
exhibits.
1) Paneling used in booth construction must be made of fire-retardant materials.
All plywood and printed veneer plywood, regardless of thickness, must be treated by immersion soaking of fire-retardant
chemicals. Paneling treated only by a superficial spray-on of fire-retardant chemicals is not permitted. Not only the
partitions, but all surfaces made of paneling such as booth displays, reception counters, shelves, etc., must be made of
this fire-retardant treated construction material.
2) Use of fire-retardant materials
A: Objects requiring fire-retardant treatment
a. Curtains
b. Accordion partitions used as dividers
c. Hanging decorative cloths on walls
d. Cloth doorway hangers, black-out curtains etc.
e. Projection screens
f. Cloth blinds
g. Carpets, rugs, artificial lawns, mats
h. Sheeting
B. Types of fire-retardant materials to use
a. Fire-resistant materials as defined by Article 2 Section 9 of the Building Standards Act
b. Semi-fire-resistant materials as defined by Article 1 Section 5 of the Order of Enforcement of the Building Standards
Act
c. Difficult to burn materials as defined by Article 1 Section 6 of the Order of Enforcement of the Building Standards Act
3) Please put 1 label on each piece of fire-resistant material used.
A. Place the label of fire-resistant performance where it is easily seen.
B. Attach the label so that it cannot be easily torn off.
4) Please do not use materials which are difficult to treat for fire-resistance.
Make every effort to avoid the use of the following or similar materials or objects made out of petroleum or chemical
materials: artificial flowers, urethane, acetate, polyester, styrofoam, acrylics and nylon.
5) Use materials designated as fire resistant by Japanese authorities.
A: Use only imported objects and materials which fall under the definitions of section 1) and 2) above that have been
designated as fire-resistant domestically in Japan.
B: Imported objects and materials which are not labelled as fire-resistant must be submitted to the relevant Japanese
authority for approval.
6) Prior approval must be obtained if the exhibitor plans to use open flame. Both during the move-in/move-out and the
exhibition, if electric or gas welders or other flame-generating equipment will be used, prior approval must be obtained
from the Show Management. Fire extinguishers should be kept close at hand when using such equipment.
Removal of Materials at Show End
All constructions and displays must be removed within the designated move-out period. Overtime is not permitted because
this will interfere with preparations for the next show.
1) Exhibitors is responsible for removal of all trash from their booth areas.
2) If any displays or exhibits are left after the move-out period without prior approval, the Show Management will arrange
clean-up and bill the exhibitor for the cost.
3) Exhibitor is responsible for removing all waste and trash generated by move-out operations. If anything is left behind, the
Show Management will arrange clean-up and bill the exhibitor for the cost.

Restrictions on Large Project Devices
When using video equipment greater than 100 inches, the front of the screen must be at least 5m away from the border of
the booth and the aisle, and the side of the screen must be at least 2m away, as shown in the diagram below.
Use of 100 inch+ projection screens is prohibited if these restrictions cannot be met within the booth. For projection screens
smaller than 100 inches, make sure there is ample room for viewers inside the booth, and that viewers do not obstruct the
aisles.

Narration Volume
The volume of the narration generated inside a booth must not exceed 80 decibels at a distance of 2m from the booth border.
Exhibition staff will be measuring volumes during the exhibition and will request volume reduction when this limit is exceeded.
However, even if this limit is not exceeded, reduction may be requested if the volume causes distress in neighboring booths,
or the general noise of the exhibition is causing visitor discomfort. It is forbidden to aim speakers and other voice amplification
systems at the fronts of neighboring booths. When hanging speakers on walls and columns, the speakers should be angled
down 45°. To avoid congestion in the aisle, invite attendees listening outside to enter the booth.
The location of the speakers must be at least 1m away from the booth edges and must face inward.
Lighting and Other Restrictions
Lasers, strobe lights and similar lights
are prohibited to prevent the possibility of
eye damage.
Smoke, foul odors and similar annoyances
are prohibited in the booth. Show
Management also reserves the right,
at any time, to restrict or alter any
constructions, demonstrations, or
activities which, in their judgment, will
impede the free flow of visitor traffic or
cause annoyance and disturbance in
neighboring booths.
Examples of Regulatory Violations in
Booth Construction and Decoration
During construction Show Management
personnel will be making the rounds on
the exhibition floor to make sure that
exhibit heights, wall structures etc. do not
violate the basic restrictions as laid out in
this manual. Non-compliant booths must
be altered to conform to all restrictions
before the exhibition begins.

※ All exhibitors not renting package booths must submit the plans of their booths
By either regular mail, or email as a PDF, exhibitors must send in booth plans (floor plan and elevation plan) to the Show
Management by October 23 (Thu).
※ If the organizer rules that the construction and decoration of a booth is in violation of these rules, the exhibitor will be required
to make changes as necessary. This will also cause the loss of SEMI Priority Points, which will have a direct effect on the
exhibitor’s ability to influence the placement of their booth at the next exhibition.
※ As a matter of policy, no changes to structures or remodeling is permitted once the exhibition has started.

15 Electricity
Mandatory
“Electric Supply and Installation” also submit “In-Booth Electrical Installation” plans Deadline: October 30 (Thu)
(1) Electrical Installation by Organizer
Send the application form noted above by the deadline to Shoho Denki for electrical installations. (You can send by fax or
upload from your “Exhibitor MyPage”.) Based on the capacity needed, the company will install the appropriate wiring up to
the booth, including a power switch in the booth. As a matter of policy, one switch for each voltage ordered will be installed
on either the left or right side of the back wall. If you wish the switch to be located elsewhere, clearly mark the location on the
electrical installation diagram on your “In-Booth Electrical Installation” form.
Right-of-Way for electrical cables
Electrical cables are pulled up through access holes to the underground pits, and these holes are limited in number. We ask
for your cooperation and understanding when these cables have to be laid through your booth.
(2) Electrical Installation by Exhibitor
Please perform all installations for interior lighting and power according to the plan submitted and approved before
construction begins. All installation should occur concurrently with other Move-in activities and must be finished by noon (12:00)
on December 2 (Tue). After that time no further electrical work will be permitted. Follow all relevant safety regulations and
directives, particularly as regards to fire and hazard prevention, to see that accidents and damage occur to neither workers nor
property.
Fluorescents and high pressure mercury vapor lamps should have a capacitor installed.
Neon lighting is not permitted.
Do not place incandescent, resisters, and other heat generating equipment near combustible objects.
The main power switch in the booth’s distribution panel must be equipped with a ground-fault interrupter.

(7) Early Switch-On
If you need electric power before December 2 (Tue) in order to adjust and test-run equipment, request it in writing by October
30 (Thu). Remember that early switch-on time depends on how fast electrical subcontracting work is progressing. Depending
on state of installation progress, early switch-on may not be possible, or you may have to pay additional fees. Contact Shoho
Denki Co., Ltd. for further details.
(8) 24-Hour Electrical Supply
You can apply for continuous 24-hour electrical supply during show days (December 2-4 only) thru the “Electric Supply and

16 Water Supply and Drainage
Optional
“Water and Air” also submit floor and elevation plans
Deadline: October 30 (Thu)
(1) Main Plumbing
Plumbing will be run to each booth as needed. A connecting pipe from the main water line, one connection per booth, will lead
to the nearest edge of each booth. Pressure at the booth is 2.0-4.0 kg/cm2. Pressure is not regulated so make sure to install
your own regulator if needed. You should also equip your line with filters and other protectors to prevent contamination with
foreign particles and pressure variations. Do not drain hot water, solid particles, oils, pharmaceuticals or inks into the drainage
pit as this may contaminate , clog, or cause backflow in the drainage plumbing. The exhibitor will be billed for the repair and/or
cleanup resulting from such damage. Show Management assumes no responsibility for any damage to equipment or products
due to contaminated water.
Standard Water Supply and Drainage:
Supply: 13mm, 20mm, 25mm valve stop (female screw)
2.0-4.0 kg/cm2 range (variation due to volume used/ not equipped with regulator)
Drainage: 40mm, 50mm
0-40°C (no drainage above 41°C of any solid particles, oils, pharmaceuticals or inks)
Fee for Main Plumbing (tax not included): ¥73,000 per company per location up to the booth border
(includes maintenance fee)
Water usage fee not included.
Main plumbing comes from the equipment pit. Extension of lines to subpits falls under secondary plumbing.
(2) Exhibitor Plumbing Work/Booth Interior Work (Secondary plumbing)
Exhibitor is responsible for all plumbing within the booth interior. You can apply for secondary plumbing along with primary
plumbing work. (You will receive a separate quotation for this. Please send a floor plan of your booth.) All plumbing
subcontractor work must be performed concurrently with all other Move-in activities and must finish by noon of December 2
(Tue). No work allowed after that time.
Notes
• No exhibitor can use the water facility (the pits) directly without intermediary plumbing. Show Management assumes no
responsibility for any accidents or damage resulting from such unauthorized use.
• When the pit has been used, it must be cleaned. If not cleaned, you will be billed for any cleaning expenses.
• To prevent extreme hazard, plumbing cannot be installed in the electrical pits.

17 Compressed Air
Optional
“Water and Air” also submit floor and elevation plans
Deadline: October 30 (Thu)
(1) Air Supply (Main Installation)
Main air lines will be run to each booth as needed. One line per booth, and the line will run up to the nearest booth border.
Air is not oil-free but is pumped through an oil-cooled compressor, so dryers and filters have been installed to remove as
much particulate matter as possible. However cleanliness of the air is not guaranteed: the exhibitor should also install filters
and dryers on their side to reduce contaminants entering their equipment. Show Management assumes no responsibility for
damage to exhibitor equipment due to air supply contaminants.
Standard air: dry air, around 0.50 – 0.65Mpa (pressure depends on air use/pressure not regulated.)
Standard sizes: 15A, 20A, 25A (all 3 types use female screw valve, size depends on volume used)
Air volume: 300 liters/min or less (extra charge for volumes higher than 300 liters: ¥5,000/100 liters/min, tax not included).
When requesting higher air volumes, note your specific needs accurately on the application form.
Air dryers and oil filters are used, but recommend installing these in the booth as well.
Fee for main installation: 75,000 per company per booth (tax not included, includes maintenance fee), line installed up to the
booth edge.
As a matter of policy main air is supplied from the pits. Laying of air hoses in the electrical pits or subpits falls under
Secondary Installation work.
(2) Exhibitor Air Installation/Booth Installation (secondary air installation).
Exhibitor is responsible for all air installation within the booth. You can request this work to be done along with the main
installation work (you will be quoted separately for this – please send a floor plan). All work must be done concurrently with all
other Move-in activities and must be finished by noon, December 2 (Tue). No work permitted after this time.
Note: always install filters and dryers to prevent water, oil and other foreign substances from contaminating your equipment.

18 Naked Flame and Hazardous Materials
Optional
“Naked Flame and Hazardous Materials” mail in needed documentation Deadline: October 23 (Thu)
• The Japanese Fire Service Act forbids the use of naked flame and the conveyance of hazardous materials into exhibition
halls. However, when hazardous materials or naked flame are required for the proper demonstration of company products,
these materials are allowed in to use only when proper authorization is first obtained from the Fukagawa fire authorities. The
Show Management will arrange to collect all such applications for authorization and submit them on behalf of exhibitors. Be
aware that submission past the deadline may result in denial of the request.
• Please be aware that local fire authorities may conduct spot inspections during move-in and during the exhibition itself. If
exhibitors are found to be using unapproved hazardous materials, or to be in violation of fire regulations, or to have unfinished
installations, they may be required to tear down such installations.
• When applying for a fire or hazardous materials exemption, you must supply a drawing showing the usage and storage
locations of all these materials along with the location of fire extinguisher in the booth, catalogs for each material and/or
equipment, the total energy of the materials (kW), a detailed description of the demonstration in which it is used, and MSDS
documentation for all hazardous materials. Send all these materials in triplicate by mail, or by email send one copy in PDF
form, to the SEMICON Japan Show Management Support by October 23 (Thu).
• Restrictions on devices producing sparks are particularly severe; if you plan on using such equipment, contact the Office
beforehand for details: there will be more documents required in this case.
(1) Exemptions
Smoking
Absolutely no smoking in the exhibition halls (no exemptions). However, smoking is permitted at Big Sight in the designated
smoking areas.

a. Anything that uses gas, liquid, or solid materials to produce spark or flame, including those components of devices which
produce spark or flame in the open.
b. Devices which use electricity as a heat source that produce heated visible parts (excluding devices like hot plates, hair
dryers and ovens etc. in which the heating element heats an enclosed space, a blower, or an interior part) and may cause
combustion when the exposed heating element comes in contact with combustible materials (surface temperatures
exceeding 400°C).
<Requirement for Use of Naked flame>
• If naked flame is absolutely necessary for proper demonstration or exhibit, we ask that you limit its use to the barest
minimum.
• Use of candles or alcohol lamps for decorative purposes is not permitted.
• Separate consultation beforehand is also required if you plan to use gas in the booth.
<Location of Use>
• Always keep combustible materials a safe distance away from naked flame sources.
• Keep flammables and hazardous materials at least 5 meters away from all entrances and stairways, and from other
flammables.
<Safety Measures>
• Do not place any combustible materials within 15 cm of the side or back of the naked flame generating device, or within
100cm above it. If some material cannot avoid being placed within 15 cm of the device, that area must be isolated with a
special fire-retardant materials. In such a case, make sure this material is not in contact with the booth partitions. Example:
use 2 asbestos corrugated plates of greater than 15mm thickness in this area.
• Install safety devices that help extinguish the flame and prevent tipping during earthquakes.
• Install safety devices that automatically shut off gas sources of flame during an earthquake, and install gas leak alarms.
• Always keep ABC extinguishers (capacity 2 or above, type 10 or above) ready at hand.
• Train personnel to use the extinguishers properly.
• Use cartridge type containers or liquid natural gas.
• The length of flame produced by any device is limited to 10cm or less.
• When using liquid fuel, use the absolute minimum necessary. No refilling while the exhibition is in progress.
• Implement safety measures to reduce the risk of fire damage or personal injury due to naked flame.

Use of Hazardous Materials
<Definition of Hazardous Materials>
a. Hazardous Materials
Materials defined by the Fire Service Act to be hazardous, including combustible liquids like gasoline, diesel oils and
oxidizing solids and liquids.
b. Designated combustibles
Combustible liquids and solids as defined by the Tokyo Metropolitan Fire Prevention Ordinance (Tokyo Ordinance 65),
addendum graph 7.
c. Explosives
Gunpowders, blasting powders, industrial processing explosives and fireworks as defined by the Gunpowder Control Act.
d. Propane, acetylene, hydrogen, ammonia and other combustible gases as defined by the General High Pressure Gas
Safety Ordinance.
<Materials Not Considered Hazardous>
• Exhibition items (limited to items displayed only and not demonstrated, which remain in their containers).
• fuels or lubricants held inside the tanks of vehicles on display.
• lubricants held inside tanks of motors or hydraulic equipment on display.
• art or decorative objects used as display objects, made of paraffin, which is a solid combustible.
• oils used on frying pans or baking sheets such as vegetable oils used in cooking (except for deep-frying).
• anti-bacterial or disinfectant alcohols with an alcohol content of 60% or less.
<Placement of Hazardous Materials>
• Hazardous materials must be placed at least 6 meters away from entrances and stairways, and at least 3 meters away
from other hazardous materials. However, exception is made for walls treated with fire-retardant materials.
• Hazardous materials must be placed at least at least 5m horizontally away from any place where fire is used. However,
exception is made for walls treated with fire-retardant materials.
<Safety Measures>
• An inspection and post-use safety check system should be implemented by responsible personnel.
• Always keep ABC extinguishers (capacity 2 or above, type 10 or above) ready at hand.
• Install exhaust systems to direct any combustible vapors produced away from and out of the booth.
• Install systems to prevent the accidental spillage of hazardous liquids if a device or equipment utilized for demo is prone to
cause such a spillage. Also make sure to use non-combustible materials for such preventive systems.
• Storage of hypergolic fuel components in the same location is prohibited.
(These are fuel components that ignite upon combination, like rocket fuels.)
• No refilling of hazardous liquids during the exhibition.
• Fill the tanks of vehicles on display with the absolute minimum of fuel needed.
• When storing seal tightly and place in location well away from other items.
• Take all safety precautions necessary to ensure a safe booth environment.
Inspection by Local Fire Authorities
• We will inform you when the inspection will take place.
• The authorities will be going from booth to booth during the inspection, so it may take them some time to get to your
booth. Personnel responsible for, and able to answer questions about, booth safety must be present in the booth when the
authorities arrive for inspection.
• If no one is in the booth at inspection time, or equipment/installations applied for are still not present, or the conditions
are different than those described on the application, not only may your demonstrations not be approved, but all the
exemptions you applied for may be withdrawn. Make sure that your personnel have fully practiced their demonstrations
and all equipment, installations, and fire prevention equipment are in place.
